This croat was minted in Barcelona during the reign of Alfons III (IV). The croat traded as a real in the rest of Spain. Wikipedia comments,

"Alfonso IV, called the Kind (Catalan: Alfons el Benigne) (1299-1336) was King of Aragon and Count of Barcelona (as Alfons III) from 1327 to his death. His reign saw the incorporation of the County of Urgell, Duchy of Athens, and Duchy of Neopatria into the Crown of Aragon."

Alfons spent most of his reign fighting in Sardinia. He also issued a dinero and an obolo (half dinero) but no gold.
