Barbados 2019 5 dollars KM-127
This specimen was lot 74205 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, September 2025), where it sold for $216. The catalog description[1] noted, "BARBADOS. Silver Enameled 5 Dollars (3 Ounces), 2019. PCGS MS-70. "Underwater World" series, Crocodile. Antique matte finish with translucent blue enamel on obverse." The American crocodile (Crocodylus acutus), best known from Florida, is known throughout coastal areas of Mexico, Central America and northern South America. Its distribution in the Antilles is spotty and we're not sure if it occurs in Barbados. Large adults can reach 7 m long and weigh 1000 kg and are not to be trifled with.
Recorded mintage: 999.
Specification: 93.3 g, 0.999 fine silver, 50 mm diameter, reeded edge, 3 troy oz ASW.
Catalog reference: KM-127.
