This specimen was lot 6799 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2017), where it sold for $376. The catalog description[1] noted, "IRELAND. 10 Pence, 1813. NGC PROOF-64. Deep toning on bust with vibrant lustrous colors of magenta, electric blue and aquamarine in the fields. Center of reverse only lightly toned and flashing brilliance. A very eye catching example." The Bank of Ireland issued ten pence tokens for the island in 1805, 1808 and 1813 in an attempt to alleviate a desperate shortage of coin there.
