This specimen was lot 74088 in Stack's Bowers May 2026 World Premier Collectors Choice Auction (Costa Mesa, CA, May 2026), where it sold for $268.40. The catalog description[1] noted, "BAHRAIN. 500 Fils, AH 1403 (1983). Isa bin Salman. NGC PROOF-69 Ultra Cameo. Opening of Isa Town." Wikipedia comments, "Isa Town (Arabic: مدينة عيسى, Madīnat ʿĪsā) is a middle class town located in north-central Bahrain." The suburb was named for Isa bin Salman, emir of Bahrain 1961-99. The SCWC prices this NCLT, struck at the Royal Mint, at its bullion value.
