Bahamas 2007 25 cents

from the Mountain Groan Collection

This specimen is one of a type struck for the Bahamas starting in 2007. In 1974 the bust of the queen was dropped in favor of the arms of the Bahamas. The Franklin Mint produced this denomination 1971-85. A sailing sloop is featured on the reverse.

Recorded mintage: unknown but common.

Specification: 5.75 g, copper-nickel, 24.26 mm diameter.
