Baden 1826 5 gulden Fr-150
This specimen was lot 105 in Sincona sale 69 (Zürich, May 2021), where it sold for 2,600 CHF (about US$3,451 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"DEUTSCHLAND | Baden-Durlach, Markgrafschaft, ab 1806 Grossherzogtum. Ludwig, 1818-1830. 5 Gulden 1826, Mannheim. Sehr selten. Nur 887 Exemplare geprägt. NGC MS64+. Prachtvolle Erhaltung. (Germany, grand duchy of Baden, Louis, 1818-30, five gulden of 1826, Mannheim mint. Very rare. Only 887 pieces struck, Magnificent condition.)"
This type was struck 1819-26. There is considerable design variation from year to year but the type is too rare to bother dividing it into subtypes.
