This specimen was lot 2515 in Sincona sale 77 (Zürich, May 2022), where it sold for 5,375 CHF (about US$6,524 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted, "INDIA | Princely States | Awadh, Sa'adat 'Ali. 1213-1230 H. (1798-1814). Mohur 1225 H.Year 26, Muhammadabad Banaras (Lucknow). In the name of Shah Alam II. Mintmark: Fish. Selten. NGC MS66. Prachtexemplar. (Rare, Cabinet piece.)" This type was struck in the name of the Mughal emperor in AH 1218, AH 1222 and AH 1230-1231, all with regnal year 26. All are rare.
