This specimen was lot 53689 in Stack's Bowers ANA sale (Pittsburgh, PA, August 2023), where it sold for $1,860. The catalog description[1] noted, "AUSTRIA. Gold 100 Euros, 2021. GEM UNCIRCULATED." This type has been struck in various sizes (4, 10, 25, 50 and 100 euro) every year since 2002 as competition to the Panda, the Libertad, the Krugerrand, the Maple Leaf and other bullion coins.
