This specimen was lot 74512 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice Online Auction (Costa Mesa, CA, October 2024), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted, "AUSTRIA. 1000 Schillings, 1994. Vienna Mint. NGC PROOF-66. Bi-metallic commemorative for the 800th anniversary of the Vienna Mint. This Superb Gem exhibits an interesting motif exhibiting sharply struck design elements and flashy fields with a slight haze."
Recorded mintage: 50,000 proofs.
Specification: 39.8 g, bimetallic (gold center in a silver ring), 40 mm diameter, 0.4178 troy oz AGW; 0.7717 troy oz ASW.
