Sincona sale 101, lot 3420

This specimen was lot 3420 in Sincona Auction 101 (Zürich, October 2025), where it sold for 1,500 CHF (about US$2,261 including buyers' fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"RDR / ÖSTERREICH Franz Joseph I. 1848-1916. 4 Dukaten 1910, Wien. Fast vorzüglich. Kleine Kratzer. (empire of Austria-Hungary, Francis Joseph I, 1848-1916, four ducats of 1910, Vienna mint. About Extremely Fine, Small scratches.)"

This type was struck 1872-1915 in substantial numbers but the 1915 restrike is most commonly seen.

Recorded mintage: 101,354.

Specification: 13.96 g, 0.986 fine gold, .439 troy oz AGW, 40 mm diameter, designed by Friedrich Leisek, this specimen 13.94 g.
