Künker sale 264, lot 3528

This specimen was lot 3528 in Künker sale 264 (Osnabrück, June 2015), where it sold for €240 (about US$310 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"Franz Josef I. 1848-1916. 20 Kronen 1895, Wien. 6,10 g Feingold. GOLD. Vorzüglich-Stempelglanz. (Austro-Hungarian empire, Francis Joseph I, 1848-1916. twenty coronas of 1895, Vienna mint. Extremely fine to uncirculated.)"

This type of 1892-1909 represents the final coinage reform of the Hapsburg regime before its collapse during World War One.

Specification: 6.77 g, 0.900 fine gold, 21 mm diameter.
