Austria 1629-HG thaler Dav-3361
This specimen was lot 4223 in Sincona sale 34 (Zürich, October 2016), where it sold for 2,500 CHF (about US$2,968 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"HOLY ROMAN EMPIRE - AUSTRIA. Ferdinand III. 1637-1657 Taler 1629. Glatz Münzmeister Peter Hema. Huserus Glatzensis, Eisenschneider. Selten. Fast vorzüglich. (Holy Roman Empire, Ferdinand III, 1637-57, thaler of 1629, Glatz mint, mintmaster Peter Hema and die sinker Huserus Glatzensis. Rare, About extremely fine.)"
Another rare issue from the Glatz mint. It is accompanied by a double thaler (Dav-A3361) and a twelve ducat gold piece (Fr-188).
