Goldberg sale 112, lot 1663

This specimen was lot 1663 in Goldberg sale 112 (Los Angeles, September 2019), where it sold for $360. The catalog description^[1] noted, "Australia. 25 Dollars, 2006. FIFA World Cup Soccer. NGC graded Proof 69 Ultra Cameo." Since 1989, Australia has entered the bullion and collectibles market in a big way, having produced commemoratives and NCLT's numbering in the hundreds of types. This issue was accompanied by a silver dollar and a gold four dollars (1/25 oz).

Recorded mintage: 25,000 authorized, 3,190 sold.

Specification: 7.77 g, 0.999 fine gold, 0.250 troy oz AGW.
