This specimen was part of lot 33313 in Heritage sale 3076 (Long Beach, CA, September 2019), which sold for $216. The catalog description[1] noted, "Australia: 13-Piece Lot of Certified Assorted Minors NGC, ...6) George VI Florin 1947 - MS64...." This type was struck at the Melbourne mint 1946-47. It represents a debasement from the 1945 florin, which was sterling silver. Silver would be removed from the coinage on decimalization 1966-67.

Specification: 11.31 g, 0.500 fine silver, 28.5 mm diameter.
