This specimen was lot 32465 in Heritage sale 3064 (Chicago, April 2018), where it sold for $660. The catalog description[1] noted, "George VI Crown 1938-(M) MS63 PCGS, Melbourne mint. Lightly toned, with silky luster and nice surfaces for the grade. From the Jamestown Collection." This crown or five shilling piece was issued from the Melbourne mint for Australia in 1937-38. It is the only crown struck for Australia during the sterling period. Sterling coinage ceased after 1964 and in 1966, the Australian dollar was introduced.

Specification: 28.28 g, 0.925 fine silver, .841 troy oz ASW, 38 mm diameter, designed by T. H. Paget and George Kruger-Gray.
