Stack's Bowers October 2024 Collector's Choice sale, lot 74464

This specimen was lot 74464 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice Online Auction (Costa Mesa, CA, October 2024), where it did not sell. The catalog description^[1] noted, "AUSTRALIA. Penny, 1933. Melbourne Mint. George V. PCGS MS-64 Brown. From the Richard Margolis Collection." The type was struck 1911-36 at London, Calcutta, Melbourne (this specimen), Sydney and Heaton. The Melbourne mint produced this type 1919-36 without mintmark. This is a common date.

Recorded mintage: 5,818,000 plus proofs.

Specification: 9.45 g, bronze, 30.8 mm diameter, plain edge.
