This specimen was lot 30373 in Heritage sale 3064 (Chicago, April 2018), where it sold for $1,170. The catalog description[1] noted, "Edward VII gold Sovereign 1902-M MS63 PCGS, Melbourne mint. Exceptional golden-apricot coloration and bold detailing across both sides. Currently among a select number of like-certified examples, with none graded finer. Sold with old sales ticket from Jaggard's." This date, from a type struck 1902-10 at Perth, Melbourne (shown here) and Sydney, is common.
Recorded mintage: 4,267,000, a common date.
