This specimen was lot 1904 in Stephen Album sale 34 (Santa Rosa, May 2019), where it sold for $90. The catalog description[1] noted, "AUSTRALIA: brass penny, ND (1941), Internment Camp token, EF. Issued by the Australian Military Board in 1941, and minted by R. Arendeen & Sons Pty Ltd of Malvern, Victoria." This is from a series produced for an internment camps (for German prisoners) which ranged from a penny to five shillings, all in bronze. Varieties exist, including specimens with misplaced or missing holes.
