This specimen was lot 1721 in Künker sale 352 (Osnabrück, Germany, September 2021), where it sold for €1,100 (about US$1,531 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"AUGSBURG, STADT, Goldgulden o. J. (1517-1558), mit Titel Karls V. GOLD. Vorzüglich. (Germany, city of Augsburg, undated goldgulden struck in the name of Charles V. Extremely fine.)"
Altho the coinage of this imperial city is very scanty prior to the Thirty Years War, this is one of the more common gold coins of this locale. Friedberg prices only Fr-81 and Fr-81a of 1690 lower.
