In 1917, the town of Aschaffenburg in Bavaria issued five and ten pfennig notgeld featuring the city arms depicting the local saint seated in a cathedral. The specimen to the left in the image is a rare specimen strike in silver.

Recorded mintage: 552,742.

Specification: nickel plated zinc, 21.5 mm diameter.
