This specimen was from a type struck 1939-44 with a slightly different type (KM 37a) issued 1945-48, after which the denomination was suspended. This type is very common in dealer junk boxes but is scarce in nice condition for a coin of such a low catalog value.
Recorded mintage: 3,140,000 (common date).
