This specimen was lot 999 in Sedwick sale 10 (Winter Park, FL, October 2011), where it sold for $115. The catalog description[1] noted, "Argentina, copper-nickel 10 centavos, 1899 encapsulated NGC MS 62. Lustrous and very lightly rainbow-toned." This type was struck in large numbers 1896-1942 but is hard to find choice. It is accompanied by similar five and twenty centavos coins. The last ten centavos piece was struck in 1959.

Recorded mintage: 8,889,000.

Specification: 3 g, copper-nickel, 19.3 mm diameter.
