This specimen was lot 3695 in Stephen Album sale 38 (Santa Rosa, CA, September 2020), where it sold for $89.25. The catalog description[1] noted, "ARGENTINA: Republic, 10 centavos, 1896, Liberty head design by Oudiné, NGC graded MS64." This type was struck in large numbers 1896-1942 but is hard to find choice. It is accompanied by a similar five and twenty centavos coins. The last ten centavos piece was struck in 1959.
Recorded mintage: 1,877,000.
Specification: 3 g, copper-nickel, 19.3 mm diameter.
