This specimen was lot 4899 in Künker sale 386 (Osnabrück, March 2023), where it sold for €260 (about US$336 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"ANHALT-ZERBST, FÜRSTENTUM. Carl Wilhelm, 1667-1718. 1/24 Taler (Groschen) 1676, Zerbst. Münzmeister Simon (Siegmund) Dannies. Sehr schön. (principality of Anhalt-Zerbst, Charles William, 1667-1718, 1/24 thaler or groschen of 1676. Very fine.)"
This tiny state was actually in Anhalt at all, but on the North Sea. Its most famous daughter was the princess who later became Catherine the Great of Russia. This type was struck 1675-77 and is moderately priced.
