This specimen was lot 3682 in Sincona sale 9 (Zürich, October 2012), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted,
"DEUTSCHLAND Anhalt-Bernburg, Herzogtum Alexander Karl, 1834-1863. Ausbeutetaler 1855. Kl. Kr. Vorzüglich. (Duchy of Anhalt-Bernburg, Alexander Charles, 1834-63, mining thaler of 1855, cleaned, extremely fine.)"
This type is recorded for 1846-55 and is common. Mining thalers were designed to encourage the efforts of the local miners to make the lord rich.
