This copper twenty réis was issued in Portugal for Angola. This specimen was lot 76082 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, November 2025), where it sold for $65. The catalog description[1] noted, "ANGOLA. 20 Reis, 1699-P. Porto Mint. Pedro II. PCGS Genuine--Scratch, VF Details. From the Richard August Collection." This type is scarce (other dates include 1693-99).
Recorded mintage: unknown but scarce.
