Andorra 1965 25 diners
This specimen was lot 2008 in Künker sale 439 (Osnabrück, March 2026), where it sold for €3,200 (about US$4,402 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"ANDORRA, Fürstentum. 25 Diners in Gold 1965. Parlamentsgebäude. Medaillenprägung. Mit Riffelrand. Von großer Seltenheit. Laut K./M. nur 8 Exemplare geprägt. Winz. Kontaktstelle, polierte Platte. Das vorliegende Exemplar wurde von Hans M. F. Schulman (New York), mit der Genehmigung der Regierung von Andorra, vertrieben. (principality of Andorra, twenty-five diners in gold of 1965. Parliament buidling, medallic issue, reeded edge. Very rare, only 8 examples struck per the SCWC. Minor contact marks, proof. This specific example was distributed by Hans M. F. Schulman (New York) with the authorization of the Government of Andorra.)"
Andorra, a protectorate of France and Spain, isn't really supposed to issue coins but occasionally markets NCLT's anyway. Numista states this was struck in Munich.
Recorded mintage: 1,350 in silver plus 8 in gold plus more in platinum.
Specification: KM X11: 14 g, 0.900 fine silver, 29 mm diameter; KM X11a: gold; KM X11b: platinum, reeded edge. This specimen gold, 30,14 mm; 17,39 g (15,66 g fine gold).
