This specimen was lot 32420 in Heritage sale 3064 (Chicago, April 2018), where it sold for $840. The catalog description[1] noted, "People's Socialist Republic gold Proof 100 Leke 1987 PR70 Deep Cameo PCGS. Seaport of Durazzo issue. Mintage of pieces. Truly flawless. AGW 0.1866 oz." This NCLT is struck to the standard of an old French gold twenty francs. This design was also used on a silver fifty leke (KM 58).
Recorded mintage: 5,000 proofs.
Specification: 6.45 g, 0.900 fine gold.
