This specimen was lot 1321 in Sedwick Treasure Auction 39 (Winter Park, FL, May 2026), where it sold for $2,640. The catalog description[1] noted, "SPAIN (Al-Andalus), Almohads, AV dinar, Abu Hafs ‘Umar al Murtada, 646-665 AH (1249-1267 AD), no mint indicated, NGC MS 64, finest known in NGC census. Rich gold color, strong strike with traces of luster, currently the single finest of nine in the NGC census. NGC #8437663-013. Pedigreed to the Tauler & Fau auction of February 2025 (lot 86)." This type is also known with mintmarks CEUTA and SEGILMESA, both in Africa.
