Belize was formerly known as British Honduras. Great Britain expressed willingness to grant independence prior to 1981 but the English-speaking locals were nervous about occasional threats from Guatemala to invade and annex the territory. This specimen is one of a type struck for Belize 1976-1994.

Specification: 1.04 g, aluminum, 20.2 mm diameter.
