This specimen was lot 47957 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2026), where it sold for $264. The catalog description[1] noted, "LITHUANIA. 4 Groschen, 1569. Vilnius Mint. Sigismund II August. PCGS AU-50. From the Collection of Kazmier Wysocki, former mayor of Hackensack, New Jersey." This type was struck 1565-69 at Vilnius and seems to be common. Sigismund II Augustus was grand duke of Lithuania and king of Poland. He was the last male member of the Jagiellonian dynasty.
