This specimen was lot 5464 in Sincona Auction 102 (Zürich, October 2025), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted,
"SCHWEIZ. Solothurn. Stadt und Kanton. Kreuzer 1640, Solothurn. Selten in dieser Erhaltung. Vorzüglich. (Switzerland, canton of Solothurn, kreuzer of 1640, Solothurn mint. Rare in this condition, Extremely Fine.)"
This type was struck 1623-29, 1637 and 1640. St. Ursus is mentioned ("SANCTVS+ VRSVS+ 1640+") but not depicted on the reverse. During this period, the thaler rose from 72 to ninety kreuzer.
