Goldberg sale 103, lot 2591

This specimen was lot 2591 in Goldberg sale 103 (Los Angeles, February 2018), where it sold for $282. The catalog description^[1] noted, "Netherlands: Holland. Ducat, 1752. Standing knight. Reverse: Tablet with legend. NGC graded AU-50." The type is recorded from Holland 1702-92; each province of the Netherlands issued its own coins. Holland was the largest and wealthiest part of the United Provinces, now the kingdom of the Netherlands.
