This specimen is from a type struck in Brussels for Liberia in 1937. It is accompanied by nickel-brass one and two cents. In the last twenty years, Liberia has fallen into the clutches of the private minters, who have issued such Liberian themed commemoratives as Star Trek (KM 128), Babe Ruth (KM 131) and Princess Diana (KM 464).
