This type is listed in the SCWC for 1783-96. The doppio giulio was twenty baiocchi, while the scudo was one hundred baiocchi. The SCWC notes this type as common. During 1783 and 1784, the doppio giulio with the bust obverse (KM 1034) was also struck.
