This specimen was lot 1344 in Sincona sale 76 (Zürich, May 2022), where it sold for 17,000 CHF (about US$20,635 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"POLEN | Danzig, Stadt. Dukat 1591. Mit Titel Sigismunds III. (1587-1632). Mit dem Münzzeichen Arm mit Dolch auf der Wappenseite, darunter die Signatur PK (Philipp Klüwer, Münzmeister in Danzig 1582-1610). Selten. Vorzüglich-FDC. NGC UNC Details. Kratzer unter der Büste am Rand. (Poland, city of Danzig, ducat of 1591, struck in the name of Sigismund III, 1587-1632, with mintmaster's initials "PK". Rare, Extremely fine-uncirculated, Scratches below the bust.)"

This type was struck with several subtypes 1588-1632. Its long reign of production make it among the more available Polish ducats. Altho the SCWC does not so state, all the early issues have two digit dates.

Catalog reference: KM 5, Dutkowski/Suchanek 174 IV a var, Gumowski 1397, Fr-10.
