This specimen was lot 3472 in Goldberg sale 85 (Los Angeles, June 2015), where it sold for $212. The catalog description[1] noted, "Australia. Threepence, 1927. Clash die strike on obverse. Finest at NGC. Choice original brilliant mint luster. NGC graded MS-65." The SCWC lists this type for 1911-36. This date, from the Melbourne mint, is fairly common. Other mints include London (1911-15) and Sydney (1924-26).

Recorded mintage: 6,720,000 plus a few proofs.

Specification: 1.41 g, 0.925 fine silver.
