Sincona sale 73, lot 2116

This specimen was lot 2116 in Sincona sale 73 (Zürich, November 2021), where it sold for 1,526 CHF (about US$1,636). The catalog description[1] noted,

"BULLION AUCTION | SPAIN | Königreich. Juan Carlos I. 1975-2014. 400 Euro 2004. Dali - Mädchen am Fenster. Feingewicht: 27 Gramm. 5'000 Exemplare geprägt. Polierte Platte. Im Originaletui mit Zertifikat. (kingdom of Spain, Juan Carlos I, 1975-2014, four hundred euros of 2004, Dali's Maiden at the Window. 5,000 pieces struck, Choice Proof, In original box with certificate.)"

This NCLT was part of a series extending 2002-17, honoring Spanish art and history. It was accompanied by KM 1057 (silver 50 euro) and KM 1054, 1055, 1056 (silver 10 euros).

Recorded mintage: 4,477 proofs.

Specification: 27 g, 0.999 fine gold, 38 mm diameter.
