Sincona sale 78, lot 180

This specimen was lot 180 in Sincona sale 78 (Zürich, October 2022), where it sold for 350 CHF (about US$420 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted, "RUSSIA | Russian Empire and Federation | Anna, 1730-1740, Poltina 1734, Kadashevsky Mint. 2 roubles according to Petrov. About very fine. Mount mark and scratches." This type was struck 1734-37 without mintmark for the empress Anna. Mintages are not known but must have been small as the type is rare today.
