Sincona sale 69, lot 1137

This specimen was lot 1137 in Sincona sale 69 (Zürich, May 2021), where it sold for 850 CHF (about US$1,128 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"OSTERREICH, II. Republik, seit 1945. 100 Euro 2005, Wien. Kirche am Steinhof. FDC. Im Originaletui mit Zertifikat. (republic of Austria, since 1945, one hundred euro of 2005, Vienna mint, church at Steinhof. Uncirculated, In original box with certificate.)"

This series of gold NCLT's honoring various Austrian art and cultural treasures commenced in 2002 and ran thru at least 2016. This one honors St. Leopold's church in Steinhof.

Recorded mintage: 30,000.

Specification: 16.23 g, 0.986 fine gold, this specimen 16.25 g.
