This specimen was lot 3148 in Sincona sale 47 (Zürich, May 2018), where it sold for 375 CHF (about US$450 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"SWITZERLAND, Stadt und Kanton Zürich, 20 Schilling (Halbgulden) 1776. Fast FDC. Hübsche Patina. (canton of Zürich, twenty schilling (half gulden) of 1776. About uncirculated, Attractive patina.)"
This type was issued intermittently 1774-80 and was worth half a gulden or a quarter thaler. In 1798, the canton of Zurich was forcibly incorporated into the Helvetic Republic.
