This issue was struck at the London mint for Guernsey, one of the Channel Islands. Eight doubles = one British penny. London struck 1864, 1868 and 1874; Heaton made 1885, 1889 and 1893.

Recorded mintage: 280,000 plus proofs.

Specification: 96 g, bronze.
