Steve Album sale 51, lot 2531

This specimen was lot 2531 in Steve Album Auction 51 (Santa Rosa, CA, January 2025), where it sold for $54. The catalog description[1] noted, "MUGHAL: Jahangir, 1605-1628, AR rupee, Delhi, AH1025, month of Farwardin, VF." This mint struck this type years 4-23 and is slightly scarce. Twenty mints struck this type, of which Tatta and Ahmadabad are the most common. The regnal date, which should be 11 or 12, is off the flan.
