from the Stack's Bowers 2018 Collector's Choice sale, lot 71363

This specimen was lot 71363 in Stack's Bowers Collector's Choice sale (Santa Ana, CA, May 2018), where it sold for $192. The catalog description[1] noted, "NORWAY. 25 Ore, 1900. NGC MS-63. Sharply struck, brilliant and attractive." This type, struck 1896-1904, is fairly common tho less so than KM 373, which was struck 1909-19 after independence.

Recorded mintage: 400,000, a better date.

Specification: 2.42 g, 0.600 fine silver, 17 mm diameter.
