This coin was struck at Helsinki 1953-62. All dates are worthless. The Finnish markka was introduced in 1860, while Finland was under Russian rule, and reformed in 1963 (100 old markka = 1 new markka) and retired in 2002 in favor of the euro. At the time of the conversion, one markka = 17 euro cents.
Recorded mintage: 36,400,000.
Specification: 1.15 g, nickel plated steel, 16 mm diameter, plain edge.
