This type was produced at four mints (Munich, Stuttgart, Karlsruhe and Hamburg) in 1950 in such numbers that no more were struck until 1958. The Munich mint mark was "D". The type was converted in 1968 to copper plated steel (KM 106a).

Recorded mintage: 21,979,000.

Specification: 3.25 g, bronze, 19.25 mm diameter, plain edge.
