Stack's Bowers April 2021 Hong Kong sale, lot 51071

This specimen was lot 51071 in Stack's Bowers Hong Kong auction (Hong Kong, April 2021), where it sold for $4,560. The catalog description[1] noted,

"CAMBODIA. Tical, CS 1208 (1847). PCGS AU-53 Gold Shield. Pleasing quality for the issue with thick luster remaining in the fields and moderate, original tone exhibited on both sides."

Another variety (KM 36) is noted with a thick flan and weighed 15.26 g. Quarter and eighth ticals were also struck along with smaller denominations in billon.
