This specimen was lot 74544 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice Online Auction (Costa Mesa, CA, October 2024), where it sold for $85. The catalog description[1] noted, "CAMBODIA. 1/8 Tical (Fuang), ND (1847). Ang Duong. PCGS EF-40. A charming and wholesome small sized issue with a rich gray patina." This denomination was struck thru a large part of the nineteenth century in many varieties. Eight fuang made a tical and four pe made a fuang. Cambodia was colonized by the French in the 1860's and incorporated into French Indochina in the 1880's, thwarting the development of Cambodian coinage.
