Revision as of 12:04, 30 December 2024 by LatinKing2020 (talk | contribs) (Text replacement - "Mexico 2016 20 pesos Navy" to "Mexico 2016 20 pesos KM-990")
This specimen is one of a denomination issued since the reform of the peso in 1992 (one new peso = 1000 old pesos). The original type, produced 1992-2009, was aluminum bronze, but the fall in the value of the peso (MXN$1 = US5.6¢ in September 2017) forced a conversion to stainless steel. The other minor denominations (20¢, 10¢) were also reduced.
Recorded mintage: unknown.
Specification: 3.10 g, stainless steel, 17 mm diameter.
Catalog reference: KM 936.
