Greece 1979 10000 drachmes

from the Stack's Bowers 2020 Collector's Choice sale, lot 71005

This specimen was lot 71005 in Stack's Bowers Collector's Choice sale (Santa Ana, CA, February 2020), where it did not sell. The catalog description^[1] noted, "GREECE. 10000 Drachmai, 1979. NGC PROOF-64. This coin was struck to celebrate Greece's entry into the Common Market. A sparkling golden Proof." There doesn't seem to be any consistency in the plural of drachma; On this coin, it is drachmes (ΔΡΑΧΜΕΣ); on others, it is drachmai (ΔΡΑΧΜΑΙ).
